Join us for an extraordinary ‘global meeting’ featuring extended Table Topics with an International Communication theme, International panelists, and cultural finger food and beverages.
There are many reasons people come to Toastmasters — improve communication, build leadership skills, get encouragement from a supportive group. The number one reason though is to get past the fear of public speaking. Here’s a real life testimonial from someone who got past the fear. Most people do, you can too.
While working on my personal YouTube account, I discovered several professionally produced videos about Toastmasters. Here is one I liked very much. Thank you Toastmasters.
Princeton Toastmasters will be celebrating our 30th anniversary on May 21st. This special event will not be held at our usual meeting location. We will not be conducting a meeting at the Church on this date.
Please come visit us at our next regular meeting on June 4th. We look forward to meeting you.
Recently, one of the people I have been mentoring asked me to prepare for their first Table Topics. They asked what I did to become more comfortable with Table Topics and I shared some strategies that have helped me become more comfortable both at the club and in the boardroom. Here’s the e-mail I sent. If you have any strategies of your own, please share them for the good and benefit of the club.
As Toastmasters moves further into the 21st century, technology offers new ways to communicate and lead. The upside is with information and communication channels increasing, people can share experiences with others faster and easier than ever. The downside is taking the time needed to learn these new technologies.
To support the easy transfer of learning for these new channels and technologies, the Princeton Toastmasters Executive Board is providing free tutorials for Blogging Basics. The Board will provide brief videos that walk participants through the basics of adding, editing and changing content to the Princeton Toastmasters site/blog.
If you are interested in learning basic blogging, please visit the Resources > Tutorials section of the site to access the instructional videos (or click here). If you wish to add content to the site, please send an e-mail to ed at edamail dot com (change mail to fit e-mail client).
